The Perfect Weekend in Nashville, Indiana
A Weekend Girls’ Getaway
I would describe Nashville as quaint and cozy. Great little shops to look around in, fun brunch restaurants and dinner options, and unique antique shops to explore. I went with 3 of my girlfriends, and this town is exactly the type of place we love to explore. It was low-key in March when we went, but I have heard it can be busy in the summer.
Friday Evening
Start off your trip with lunch at Brozinni Pizzeria. Then check out the Visitor Center, I always like to start exploring a new city by doing this first.
Drop off bags at the Airbnb then walk right outside the door and check out all the shops along the main street.
Spend the evening having drinks at Story Inn…this was a bizarre and hilarious experience. You walked into a restaurant that was completely deserted, no host, no people, no sounds. Antiques everywhere, black baby carriages hanging from the ceiling, scythes on the walls, dimly lit. It was eerie. We finally figured out that there was a bar downstairs in the basement. A tiny but fun atmosphere where we had so many belly laughs and great conversations with the bartender and local patrons.
Saturday Morning
Have breakfast at Birds Nest Café, small but so pretty with chandeliers and yummy coffee drinks. You may want to make a reservation, it has limited seating.
Walk around shops and Brown County Antique Mall and Plum Creek Antiques.
Saturday Afternoon
Lunch at Hard Truth Distillery, set in a beautiful location. Lots of great places to take photos
Take a hike and look for geodes
Saturday Night
Both nights we ate a late lunch so we just snacked on stuff we brought with us for dinner. We drank champagne by the outdoor firepit then played games at Airbnb
Sunday Morning
Brunch at Cooper’s Alley, right across the street from Airbnb. This place is amazing…gorgeous décor, so fancy in a vintage curated kind of way, and the food was delicious.
Final Thoughts
This town works so well for a weekend getaway because it’s drivable, you are in the beautiful landscapes of Brown County, you’ve got great food and coffee options and the antiques were on point.
