Coffee, Antiques & Local Eats in Plymouth, Indiana
Just under two hours from Indianapolis, Plymouth is a charming small town that's perfect for a day of coffee, shopping, antique hunting, and great local food. If you happen to visit on a Saturday, you'll have the added bonus of a vibrant farmers market and seasonal community events.
Start Your Morning at The French Press Coffee Co.
Before ordering, take a look at their Barista Favorites board. It's full of creative coffee and matcha recommendations if you're having trouble deciding.
I ordered Selia's favorite—a honey and almond matcha with cold foam—and it was absolutely delicious. The French Press roasts their own coffee, serves small-batch SAKU matcha, and every pastry is made from scratch in-house.
The day we visited, they were featuring ricotta toast topped with peaches and hot honey, and it looked incredible.
We happened to visit during Plymouth's ARTS in the Street Festival, where more than 80 artisan vendors, live music, and a chalk art competition filled downtown. It made for the perfect Saturday morning, but even if you visit another weekend, the walkable downtown is well worth exploring.

Your first antique stop is 4031 Antiques & Collectables, conveniently located downtown.
It's a smaller shop, but it's packed with vintage treasures. I spotted a beautiful original painting and a butter dish that nearly came home with me, but decided to keep looking to see what else the day had in store.
As you continue exploring downtown, be sure to stop at Ivy Terra Plant Café. This beautiful shop combines houseplants, gifts, coffee, and light food into one inviting space. I picked up a plant for my kitchen, but even if you're not shopping for greenery, it's worth stepping inside.
If you're visiting on a Saturday morning, don't miss the Plymouth Farmers Market. Fresh flowers, homemade bread, local vendors, and a welcoming community atmosphere make it another highlight of downtown.
Next, wander through Twice Treasured Vendor Shoppe, another great antique stop.
This shop had a little bit of everything. I found a vintage bird-on-nest that I couldn't leave behind and was excited to spot several fairy lamps—although none were quite the style I was hoping to find. Before leaving, I discovered an impressive selection of loose-leaf teas and picked up a bag of Autumn Almond Chai to enjoy at home.
Lunch Along the River
After a morning of shopping, head to Yellow River Tap & Eatery for lunch.
They serve barbecue, burgers, sandwiches, and wood-fired pizza—always one of my favorites. My friend Katie and I shared the BBQ Chicken Pizza, and it was delicious.
If the weather is nice, grab a table outside overlooking the Yellow River and enjoy the downtown views while you eat.
One fun feature is their self-pour tap wall, where you can sample from a large selection of craft beers.
One More Antique Adventure
Save time for one last stop at Emilee & Ivy.
The shop has a mix of beautifully organized booths and others that require a little more digging, but that's part of the fun of antique shopping.
One booth was filled with vintage birds and animals on nests, and Katie eventually decided to take home a gorgeous pink glass rooster she'd been debating throughout our visit. Sometimes the best antique finds are the ones you can't stop thinking about.
End the Day with Something Sweet
No perfect day is complete without dessert.
Head over to Melt & Taste, where you'll find made-to-order crepes, waffles, smoothies, coffee, and other sweet treats.
I chose one of their decadent crepes topped with chocolate, peanut butter, pistachios, and fresh banana, and it was the perfect ending to the day. With plenty of topping combinations to choose from, there's something for everyone.
Bonus Stop: The Village Shops in Bremen
If you still have a little energy left, drive about 15 minutes to nearby Bremen and visit The Village Shops.
This unique collection of nine tiny storefronts is home to local businesses selling everything from coffee and sourdough bread to jewelry, clothing, soaps, and home décor.
The whole concept reminded me of a smaller version of Magnolia's Silos in Waco, Texas. It's beautifully designed, very dog-friendly, and such a fun place to stroll before heading home.
Final Thoughts
Plymouth surprised me in the best way. Between the welcoming downtown, excellent coffee, unique antique stores, delicious local restaurants, and nearby Village Shops, it has everything you need for a memorable Indiana day trip.
