7 Midwest Girls' Getaways Worth the Drive
Some of my favorite memories haven't come from week-long vacations—they've come from simple weekends away with my girlfriends.
A few days of antique shopping, cozy coffee shops, great food, and late-night conversations around an Airbnb fire pit somehow leave us feeling just as refreshed as a much longer trip.
The best part? Most of these destinations are easy to reach by car, don't require months of planning, and are full of locally owned businesses that make every trip feel unique.
If you're planning your next girls' getaway, these are seven Midwest destinations I'd happily return to again and again.
1. Nashville, Indiana
Perfect for: Antique lovers, cozy cafés, and Brown County scenery
The Rock Hounds: Shanna, Cortney, Jenni and Katie…we love hunting for rocks and antiques!
Just an hour south of Indianapolis, Nashville is one of Indiana's most charming small towns. Spend the day browsing unique antique shops, enjoying brunch at Bird's Nest Café, exploring Brown County, and ending the evening with drinks at the wonderfully quirky Story Inn.

Final Thoughts
One of my favorite things about Midwest travel is that you don't have to go far to make incredible memories.
Some of the best weekends I've ever had were spent wandering antique malls, discovering a new coffee shop, laughing with friends around a fire pit, or finding the perfect vintage treasure in a tiny shop I'd never heard of before.
If you're looking for a getaway that's easy to plan, full of local character, and guaranteed to create lasting memories, I hope one of these destinations inspires your next girls' trip.
